SWCD History Per County

Hickman County SWCD

On July 18, 1951, through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Hickman County and the United States Department of Agriculture, the Hickman County Soil Conservation District was chartered by founding board members Walter Brown, J.W. Shouse, R.H. Bratton, Lewis Fox, and Ashford Prince.

Lewis County SWCD

On March 12, 1953, through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Lewis County and the United States Department of Agriculture, the Lewis County Soil Conservation District was chartered by founding board members R.H. Edwards and E.M. Adcox.

Perry County SWCD

On November 25, 1953, through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Lewis County and the United States Department of Agriculture, the Lewis County Soil Conservation District was chartered by founding board members Howell Patterson and W.R. DePriest.
