Yes. Through state and federal programs (like the Environmental Quality Incentives Program), landowners can apply for cost-share assistance for practices such as streambanks, fencing, cover crops, and rotational grazing. 


Boards consist of local landowners and farmers. Supervisors are either elected by local qualified voters or appointed by the state.   


No. SWCDs provide voluntary guidance. Regulatory permits (like ARAP for creek gravel removal) are issued by the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) or by calling (931) 380-3371.
